Our agreement with you
These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and Shawn Liu, an individual doing business as The Song For You, when you visit our website, create an account, submit a story, generate a song, or purchase any product. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
The Song For You is an online service intended for adult customers in the United States and Canada. Legal notices may be sent to legal@thesongforyou.com.
The short version
You keep ownership of the story you share. We need permission to process it so we can make your song. Use the service lawfully and only submit content you have the right to use.
What the service provides
The Song For You uses AI-assisted creative technology to turn the details you provide into lyrics and music. Results are generated from your creative direction, but they may not match every expectation or be entirely unique in every musical element.

Features, styles, voices, generation times, and availability may change as the service improves. We will not materially reduce a paid order after purchase without offering a reasonable remedy.
Your story, your song, and licenses
What stays yours
You retain any rights you already hold in the names, stories, photos, notes, and other material you submit.
Permission you give us
You grant us a limited license to host, process, adapt, and transmit your content only as needed to provide, secure, and support the service.
Your finished output
Subject to these terms and payment, you may use and share your delivered song for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Public examples
We will not publish your story, song, image, or reaction as a testimonial or example without your explicit permission.
You promise that you have the rights and permissions needed for anything you submit, including material about another person. Do not upload confidential information you are not authorized to share. AI-assisted output may not be unique or eligible for copyright protection in every jurisdiction.
Account, guest access, and age requirements
You may create and purchase as a guest in the same browser or sign in to use My Songs. You are responsible for keeping account sign-in links and guest browser access private. Clearing the essential guest cookie can remove access to an unfinished or undownloaded song; guest customers should save the paid MP3 promptly.
You must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to enter this agreement. The service is not offered for use by minors.
Prices, payment, and refunds
You may generate a personalized song and listen to a 1-minute preview before payment without creating an account. The current purchase is a one-time payment that unlocks the complete MP3 and lyrics. Stripe collects the contact and billing information needed to process the guest or signed-in purchase; we do not store your full card number.
Because you can preview the result before deciding to pay and receive access to personalized digital content after payment, purchases are generally final. Exceptions include duplicate charges, an access failure we cannot fix, and rights that cannot legally be waived. See our Refund Policy.
Responsible use
Do not use the service to create or share content that is unlawful, threatening, abusive, deceptive, sexually exploitative, invasive of privacy, or that infringes intellectual property or other rights. Do not attempt to bypass security, overload the service, reverse engineer protected systems, or impersonate another person.
We may refuse a request, remove access to content, or suspend an account when reasonably necessary to protect people, comply with law, or enforce these terms. When practical, we will explain the reason and offer a way to contact us.
Disclaimers and limits
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that a generated result will meet every subjective creative preference. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, The Song For You will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses. Our total liability for a claim relating to a paid order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order during the twelve months before the claim.
Changes and governing terms
We may update these terms to reflect service, legal, or security changes. We will post the revised date and provide additional notice when a change materially affects your rights. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in California, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring it elsewhere. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
