Cookies and local storage

Cookies are small values sent with browser requests. The site also uses browser storage for creation draft autosave and limited purchase-source measurement. These technologies have different purposes; a cookie is not a copy of your song or story.

Composed songs and lyrics are stored privately on the service. An in-progress creation form is saved locally and is not a server backup. Clearing site data removes local drafts and guest access cookies.

Essential access and security

Guest access uses a signed cookie with a lifetime of up to 30 days that can be renewed during use. Optional account sessions last up to seven days. Temporary sign-in and verification values protect the requested login or recovery flow.

Access cookies authorize private songs stored on the service. Blocking or clearing them can prevent sign-in, recovery or access to guest creations; knowing a song URL alone grants no access.

Service measurement

PostHog measures a limited set of actions and service errors without storing analytics cookies or a persistent anonymous analytics identifier. We use local storage for normalized campaign labels, referring domains and public landing pages for up to 30 days, and session storage for the page that led into song creation. This helps connect purchases to their source without saving full URLs or private song/gift links. Stories, lyrics, names, photos and email addresses are excluded from these action events. Stripe revenue reconciliation separately uses payment, refund and customer records, including billing contact details when present.

Google Analytics uses analytics cookies to measure visits and navigation. It receives page addresses, referring website information, browser/device information and cookie identifiers. Private song/gift identifiers, access credentials and URL query details are removed from page addresses. You can block or remove cookies in your browser settings, or contact privacy support to object to processing where applicable.

When Google Customer Reviews is enabled, browser session storage records which order invitations have already been offered in this tab. That record contains a merchant number and order reference, not your email or review choice. It ends with the browser session. Google displays its own optional survey invitation after a confirmed purchase.

Third party services

Google sign-in and hosted Stripe payment pages may use their own access, security or fraud-prevention technologies when you choose those services. Their policies explain their storage.

Fonts and the landing illustrations are served by this site. The songs on our website do not require a third-party video or music embed.

Your browser controls

Your browser settings let you block or remove cookies and clear site data. Save the files or information you need before clearing it. A private song link alone cannot restore guest access after its cookie is removed.
